In front the tail of an old Douglas DC-4: Date of first operation by Sabena in 1946, with a cruising speed of 329 km/h, a range of 5.000 km and a capacity of 55 passengers. At the back-ground at the flight of stairs of the Douglas a Sabena Sikorsky S-55: Date of first operation by Sabena in 1952, with a cruising speed of 145 km/h, a range of 800 km and a capacity of 7 passengers who just arrived from a City to the Airport and get on the airplane.
This way of working became later the Quick Transit Center in the 1990's at the end of the B-Pier. A quick service by transporting people from the one to the other airplane with Passport and Luggage Control in 20 minutes.
